SWAMI LODHI’S wife Suman today presented a memorandum to Governor Dr Balram Jakhar, accusing the State Government of hatching a conspiracy against her husband since he refused to speak against his sister and former chief minister Uma Bharti.
She further accused the police of insulting and terrorising her while she was going to Lalitpur from Tikamgarh. She demanded a CBI inquiry into alleged incident of loot involving her husband.
She said that that after Uma Bharti was expelled from the party, supporters of Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan mounted pressure on her husband to speak against his sister but when he refused, a conspiracy was hatched to implicate him in loot case.
Referring to alleged loot incident, she clarified that after the land deal both Babulal Jain and Swami Lodhi had gone for registry of the land in the same vehicle.
Jain was paid the amount of deal at the time of registry. While they were returning, they fell out over something and since then Lodhi was missing.
“I have not been able to contact him”, she said. In the meanwhile, police have been raiding our houses after registering a case of loot against Swami Lodhi, she said.
Lodhi’s wife further alleged that a police vehicle followed her when she was going to Lalitpur and in fear she took refuge in the house of one Pramod Badauniya. The police laid seize of Badauniya’s house and did not allow anyone to come out, she claimed.
She charged that her five-year old daughter fell unconscious due to fear and her son Neelkanth, who was ill, could not be provided treatment due to police presence.
Stating that Tikamgarh police publicly insulted her, she urged the Governor to prevent police terror against her and her children.
Following receipt a copy of her memorandum, the leader of Opposition in the State Assembly, Jamuna Devi, has written a letter to the Chief Minister seeking an inquiry into police atrocity against Swami Lodhi’s wife.
