"I have been approached to direct two Indian films in English- a comedy and a family drama. I am currently reading the two scripts," Swedish director Maria Essen said on Friday.

"I can't give details at this stage but the films are to be based in India," she added.

Maria Essen, whose debut feature film Double Shift was screened to great acclaim at the International Film festival of India here, has already received offers to distribute the comedy in India.

Double Shift depicts the travails of a young couple struggling to cope with their professional commitments in the midst of caring for their newborn baby.
