Swine flu claimed the life of a young software engineer in Orissa today, taking the H1N1 toll to four since August one.

Biswanath Ekka from Rourkela who was admitted to the S C B Medical College Hospital at Cuttack this morning in an extremely critical condition, died in the afternoon, its Superintendent D R Moharana said.
Ekka, who was tested positive for swine flu, had arrived from Hyderabad recently and was treated briefly at a private hospital before being transferred to the Cuttack hospital, he said.
His family members were medically examined and given preventive medication.
Earlier, two persons in Bhubaneswar and one in Cuttack had died of the disease since August one, official sources said.
Swine flu had claimed four lives in the state last year, they said.
