As his condition deteriorated, he was shifted to another hospital where he was put on ventilator. He was diagnosed with pneumonia in his lungs. Suspecting swine flu, his blood sample was sent to Jabalpur laboratory. However, the patient died by Wednesday afternoon, said Dr PN Agarwal.

Test report confirmed that Hole was suffering from swine flu. Anil did not travel anywhere outside Bhopal or any member of his family suffering from swine flu, said Dr Agarwal. About 10 samples have been sent for testing swine flu. Swine flu claimed one life in Bhopal last year as well.
