The entire proceeds collected at the Taj Mahal should be handed over to the Waqf Board of UP, the state Waqf minister told reporters in Rampur.

He said the amount is so large that two universities can be run with it.

The minister said the Taj Mahal is a monument which has emotional relationship with the Muslim community and the proceeds collected from its visitors should be handed over to the Waqf Board.

Otherwise, he said, it will tantamount to the Centre doing injustice to the Muslim community.
