Thakurai said the treasury office at the District Collectorate remained closed on Tuesday and warned the government to take lessons from the strike and resolve long pending demands of the confederation.

Expressing his views at the chief development office premises, Pandey said if the government did not issue an order in their favour, teachers could join hands with central trade unions.

District unit president of the Teachers’ Association RP Chaudhary said all the offices of the district Collectorate were closed. He blamed the State Government for depriving state employees of various facilities.

State secretary of the association Rajendra Pandey, Shiv Prasad Srivastav and others condemned the Government for dilly-dallying in resolving demands of teachers and state employees.
