The results will be announced soon, said Sartaj Academy convenor Dharmesh Yashlaha. Inter-district badminton tournament organised by Sartaj Academy under the aegis of Sports and Youth Welfare Department is being played at Narayan Bagh Balvikas Kendra. In the first semifinal Khandwa beat Burhampur by 2-0, while in the second semifinal Indore got a walkover.
Inter-college volleyball
INTER-COLLEGE volleyball competition organised by Rishiraj Institute of Technology in memory of Rishiraj Singh Keer began on Tuesday. The final will be held on September 21. On the inaugural day, IPS Academy beat LKCT to sail into the second round. Earlier, college secretary Suresh Choukse inaugurated the tournament. MP Volleyball Association president Kulam Nabi Khan presided over the function.
Christian Eminent in second round
CHRISTIAN EMINENT Academy advanced to the second round of the inter-college kabaddi tournament organised by Maharaja Ranjeet Singh College. Christian Eminent Academy defeated Government College Mhow by 54-29 points to enter the second round.
Rudraksh excels in chess
RUDRA-KSH AGARWAL of Sanjay Kasliwal Memorial Chess Academy won the first prize in the mini junior chess tournament held in Jabalpur recently. Rudraksh secured 4.5 points to win the first position in the under-under-9 category. Rudraksh is a student of St Paul School.
Inter-college wrestling
DIVISION-LEVEL inter-college wrestling competition for men organised by DAVV will begin on September 29. Around 100 wrestlers from Indore, Khandwa, Khargone, Dhar, Jhabua and Badwani are taking part in the tournament. Interested colleges to take part in the wrestling competition have to submit their entries on or before September 26 at DAVV Sports Department,
Khandwa Road.
State-level TT begins
STATE-LEVEL table tennis tournament organised by Sayaji Club under the aegis of Indore District Table Tennis Association began on Tuesday. State Bank of India Regional Manager Rajiv Sharma inaugurated the tournament. Club General Manager Zia Ullha and MP Table Tennis Association secretary Om Soni presided over the function.
