The New Age human

Unity in diversity is the mantra of New Age. The New Age humans will help each other through the tough times.

A couple of years back when I first came out with these columns in New Age Wisdom, I wrote a descriptive essay about the New Age Human. Here are some more thoughts on the subject of the religion of this New Age.

The new religion of this Millennium is that of Unity in Diversity. Whereas we have always been conditioned to sequester ourselves into groups which have similar thoughts and ideals, the New Age Humans will now take over and assert, "Let us all live together, respecting our differing schools of thought, nurturing one another through this delicate time of transformation, and connect together into the Light of God."

The great seer and Master Sri Aurobindo predicted this state of mind of humanity seventy to eighty years back. He said:
"There every thought and feeling is an act
And every act a symbol and a sign
And every symbol hides a living power"*

The simplicity of eternal truth will prevail, the instantaneous effectiveness of unscreened Truth, unscreened through the filters of humanity's tendency to form safe and sequestered clans to protect themselves.

For thousands of years humankind has tried to work out beneficial systems of conducting ourselves; fortunately for us they have collapsed; merely because they did not adhere to the Eternal Truth that each man has the same value in the eyes of the One God, that no body can claim to be better than the other. Some are still stumbling over the same mistake, they want to change the world without changing their own attitude to the world.

He will have lost all that he thought was his own little self, lost all ideas of culture, family and country, lost all his ideals of truth and evil, which were dictated to him by his birth in any community. Today we laugh at the idea of the great philosopher Plato banishing poets from his Republic, yet we do not think twice before we banish ethnic groups from our country, or treat them with such suspicion, that we demean our own intelligence in the bargain.

These are the humans who have not yet embraced the New Age Order, and are still stuck in the old energy.

Old ideas will have melted like the morning dew into the atmosphere of a new day, to give us a fresh approach to living as a family of world humans.
World peace will have its final chance to be felt, not merely as theological lectures or words to be propounded by sociologists, but will reverberate deep down in the hearts of humankind, awakening them to their own power to create it.

How do we open our gaze wide enough to recognise the signs and omens along the way? How do we step forward, inch by inch, to tread the path of the New World Order of equality and unity, peace and mutual abundance and prosperity? Merely by opening our hearts to the process, merely by learning to let go of all old notions of anti social expression, merely by accepting that all new ideas to further this great World Order will be shown to us, one by one, as soon as we show our readiness to accept them at the soul level.
