CHAIRMAN, NEDA and MLA Mahesh Trivedi’s reign of terror continued on Tuesday too as his aides issued life threats to bedridden Radha Tiwari’s family members. Following threatening calls, the old woman’s condition deteriorated and she suffered paralysis today.
On the other hand, Trivedi rang up the Hindustan Times office and threatened the staff for carrying the news item against him in today’s edition. The MLA threatened with dire consequences if any news was published further.
Radha’s husband PK Tiwari shifted to a Gomti Nagar house leaving his Yahiaganj, Chowk residence fearing wrath of the MLA and his goons. Trivedi and his aide Pankaj Dwivedi were threatening Tiwari and other family members for the past several years to vacate the Yahiaganj house and transfer the ownership in Pankaj’s sister Sudha’s name. Sudha is married to Tiwari’s son Rupesh. Rupesh too was harassing his parents and his brothers with the help of the MLA.
The HT had carried the news of the MLA and his goons creating ruckus at the Gandhi ward of the KGMU on Sunday night. The MLA and his aides had come to threaten family members of Radha Tiwari. Pankaj’s sister Sudha and Rupesh had beaten up Radha on Sunday morning leaving her unconscious. Her condition had deteriorated later.
Though the local police were informed about the MLA’s act the SHO Chowk said that Trivedi had come to visit the ailing woman and he did not indulge in any such act.
Significantly, the aggrieved family had already given complaints to Chowk police and the SSP stating about harassment by the MLA, his aide Pankaj, the latter’s sister Sudha and her husband Rupesh. However, no action has yet been initiated into the matter because of the MLA’s influence.
Though Tiwari had sold his house several months back following torture by the MLA and Pankaj, the latter were threatening him to cancel the deal.
