Three persons were killed and more than 60 injured when a bus collided with a truck head on in Assam’s Kamrup (Rural) district today, police said.

An Assam State Transport Corporation bus carrying nearly 70 passengers from Guwahati to Palashbari collided head-on with a sand-carrying truck at Azara killing two persons on the spot and injuring more than 60 others, they said.
Another person succumbed to his injuries while on way to the hospital, sources added.
Most of the injured have been shifted to Guwahati Medical College Hospital and some admitted to nearby hospitals, sources said.
The drivers of both the vehicles have died in the mishap.
