Three sentenced to 10 years RI for murder

Pronouncing the judgement on Tuesday, Additional District and Sessions Judge Dayaram also sentenced the three accused to an additional two years RI and imposed a fine of Rs 39,000 on them.

According to prosecution, Renu was killed by her husband Kanhaiya Lal and his parents Panna Lal and Kewala on November 7, 2004. Renu's brother Kashi Prasad Gupta filed an FIR with the police in the matter alleging that the accused were harassing her and demanding a motorcycle along with Rs 25,000 as dowry.

After hearing both the parties, the ADJ held the three guilty.
