Tibetans stage protest as Chinese FM arrives for RIC meet

As Chinese Foreign Minister Yang Jeichi arrived here today to take part in tomorrow's India-Russia-China (RIC) trilateral meeting, a group of Tibetan refugees staged a silent protest opposing the visit.

As Chinese Foreign Minister Yang Jeichi arrived here today to take part in tomorrow's India-Russia-China (RIC) trilateral meeting, a group of Tibetan refugees staged a silent protest opposing the visit.

The Tibetans, who held the protest in Ejipura area, which has a small presence of their community members, demanded that no Chinese dignitary be allowed to step into India until China frees Tibet from its control.

The protestors held placards demanding that human rights violations in Tibet be looked into before dispersing.
