A bits-and-pieces cricketer, Tillekeratne Mudiyasilage Dilshan is a magic weaver — a master of everything.
When he started, he was a wicket-keeper who could bat. When tidings changed, he concentrated on batting and when demanded even turned his arm with few in swingers and out swingers. Now, he is an all-rounder.
His batting success at different levels of first-class games brought him to the fore of Sri Lankan cricket. A good middle-order batsman who can give the ball a real thwack, if needed, he is ideally suited for one-day cricket.
Certainly more can be demanded and expected of this young man. With wicket-keeping skills, Dilshan is also a handy fielder at slips.
