Timing of Liberhan report intriguing: Joshi

Senior BJP leader Murli Manohar Joshi asks for the Liberhan Commission report on Babri Masjid demolition to be tabled in Parliament and seeks immediate action on it and described as intriguing the timing of the presentation of the panel report.

Senior BJP leader Murli Manohar Joshi on Wednesday described as intriguing the timing of the presentation of the Liberhan Commission report on Babri Masjid demolition and demanded "immediate action" on it by the government and its tabling in Parliament.

"I don't know whether it goes in favour or against.... but one thing is certain that the timing of presenting the report is intriguing," he told reporters.

Joshi said the government should take immediate action on the report and table it before Parliament, the budget session of which starts tomorrow.

"We will ask the government to take action immediately and place it before Parliament so that it can be discussed," he said.

The one-man commission submitted its voluminous report to Prime Minister Manmohan Singh on Tuesday.
