The resignation of four TRS MPs, including its leader K Chandrasekhar Rao from Lok Sabha, has been accepted with effect from March 3, Speaker Somnath Chatterjee said on Wednesday.

"I have accepted the resignations with effect from March three," he informed the House.

The TRS members, Rao, Vinod Kumar, Ravindra Naik and T Madhusudan Reddy, had submitted their resignation to Chatterjee in the Lok Sabha when it assembled on Monday protesting delay in creation of a separate Telengana state.

They had then walked out of the House shouting slogans of "Jai Telengana". The move was seen as TRS' attempt to put pressure on the UPA Government on the demand for a Telengana state.
