The Judicial court in Danta, where the case was registered, committed the case today to the Sessions court in Palanpur.
Nine former policemen including IPS officers D G Vanzara, Dinesh M N and Vipul Agarwal, accused in the case were produced in Danta court and given copy of the chargesheet with direction to be produced before the Sessions court, Palanpur on August 16.
The state CID, which is probing the case, had last week filed chargesheets in the case against the nine cops.
On July 30, a chargesheet was filed against Agarwal and six others charging them of criminal conspiracy, murder, kidnapping, destruction of evidence and forgery.
On the very next day, the CID filed a supplementary chargesheet against two other accused, Vanzara and Dinesh, while eight others, including IPS officer Rajkumar Pandiyan (who is behind bars in connection with Sohrabuddin encounter case) and four cops from Rajasthan, were show as accused yet to be arrested.
