Two brothers stabbed, robbed of Rs 2.25 lakh

THREE armed youths attacked two traders with sharp-edged weapons and robbed them of Rs 2.25 lakh on Itarsi-Hoshangabad road on Thursday night. Both the traders, identified as Manish Navlani and Rakesh Navlani, were admitted to a private hospital.

THREE armed youths attacked two traders with sharp-edged weapons and robbed them of Rs 2.25 lakh on Itarsi-Hoshangabad road on Thursday night. Both the traders, identified as Manish Navlani and Rakesh Navlani, were admitted to a private hospital.

Police have found the motorbike used by the robbers and search for them was on. Police said, Manish and Rakesh, sons of Hoshangabad businessman Sirumal Navlani, who have a shop in Itarsi, were returning home in a Maruti car when the incident took place. Manish said the robbers attacked them when they slowed down the car on a narrow bridge and snatched a bag from them which contained Rs 2.25 lakh.

Police soon flung into action and recovered the motorbike No MP-05-1681 used by the robbers. The bike was found abandoned 10 km from the spot of crime, police said.
