Following the forced shifting of the two agitators to hospital by the district administration, two other members of the association – Dr Chandrashekhar Rathod and Dr Mahesh Jaiswal have started a fast unto death. A press release by the Pradhyapak Sangh said the agitation would continue until Government fulfilled demands of temporary teachers including appointment as per the rules of the UGC and stopping of exploitation.

The association had further said they had submitted a memorandum to the Governor seeking permission to embrace death. The press release said there has not been any response from the Governor’s office yet and thus memorandums would be sent to him through respective District Collectors.
