For Sangeeth Sivan there’s a silver lining in every dark cloud. The director’s long-awaited film, Ek, featuring Nana Patekar and Bobby Deol, will finally release by mid-2009. And for that he has to thank the Deol dad, Dharmendra.

The yesteryear superstar called Sivan last Thursday and requested him to organise a trial show of Ek, at Yashraj Studios, that evening. Dharmendra turned up with his whole family, including the staff, for the preview.

“His driver and helpers from his studio, Sunny Super Sound, were there too,” says Sivan. ‘And after the movie, Dharamji hugged me. The response from the rest was equally overwhelming.”

Sivan who has been advised bed rest for a month owing to high blood pressure, is now hopeful of a summer release for Ek.

“And following the success of Raaz.. The Mystery Continues, there’s a lot of curiosity about my horror film, Click, too.”

Click features Shreyas Talpade and marks the debut of south actress Sadaa.
