Two terrorists were killed and an army jawan injured in a gunbattle in Badgam district of Jammu and Kashmir.

Two terrorists were killed and an army jawan injured in a gunbattle in Badgam district of Jammu and Kashmir on Sunday, a defence spokesman said.

The encounter broke out when troops of the Rashtriya Rifles surrounded Rastun village to flush out hiding terrorists, the spokesman said adding that two militants were killed and a jawan was injured in the encounter.

Some arms and ammunition were recovered from the terrorists, whose identity and group affiliation was being ascertained, the spokesman said.
