Incidentally, Uma is planning to visit Bhopal on the same day and her supporters are itching for a showdown to mark the occasion.

Significantly, by then Uma Bharti will have floated her own political outfit. Thus, battle lines between the Chief Minister and the Sadhvi seem to be getting sharper.

Bada Malhara, the Assembly segment of Uma Bharti, is the third destination after Raisen and Sagar where the Chief Minister is going in the bid to undo the impact of Uma’s Ram-Roti Yatra. She addressed meeting in Bada Malhara on December 21 and it evoked lukewarm response, according to BJP sources.

An Uma Bharti camp follower said they are making preparations to accord a grand reception to the Sadhvi at Bhopal on February 12 on her first proposed visit to Bhopal after completion of the Ram-Roti Yatra. However, the programme is still tentative.

“We have also heard that she might come on February 2 here but she has not confirmed about that. As of now, we know that she is coming on February 12”, he said.

BJP sources said CM’s Sagar visit was a great success in the sense that almost all the leaders who mattered and were known to be close to Uma Bharti were seen vying with one another to show their presence before the CM.
These included former minister Harnam Singh Rathore, MLA from Deori in Sagar district Ratan Singh Silarpur, MLA from Bina, Sushila Sirothia besides several other leaders and workers.
