Undertrials’ escape: 3 cops suspended

The city police have suspended three police officials from whose custody two inmates of Bhondsi jail had escaped along with arrest warrant documents and a gun. The incident had occurred when they were on their way back from a Delhi court.

DCP (West) Abhay Rao said, "We have suspended their services and internal inquiry has been initiated against them. ASI Balraj Singh, constables Bhim singh and Satbir Singh had acted irresponsibly while on duty." Meanwhile, the police also arrested four miscreants, on Monday night from Badshahpur village, who were involved in lot of chain snatching and robbery cases. 13 mobile phones and one bike used in snatching were recovered from their possession by the police. They were produced in the Gurgaon court and later, Badshahpur police have taken them on remand.
