The State Bharatiya Janata Party on Tuesday demanded a CBI inquiry to probe the murder of Chaudhary Charan Singh Universiry Meerut's adhoc lecturer Kavita Rani.
The State BJP spokesman Hridaya Narain Dixit in a press statement said the murder of Kavita Rani was yet another heinous act committed during the tenure of Samajwadi party led government.
The State Government was shielding the ministers responsible for the incident, he said adding the police was not seriously investigating the case.
The police was instead telling its own stories, he said adding the CBI probe would help in exposing the culprits behind the incident. The police was not paying any heed to the allegations being made by Kavita Rani's family members, he said while condemning the patronage being given to the accused in the case.
