According to Board officials all the examination papers will be given individually to the centre superintendents one week before the examination. Board authorities have issued special instructions to centre superintendents to keep the question papers under lock in steel almirah.

It may be recalled that the examination papers were earlier used to be sent to the centres 10-15 days advance. As a result the leak of question papers was often reported from different centres and their photo copies made available in the market for hefty price by miscreants thereby marring the sanctity of the examination in recent years.

Fed up with such incidents, the Board authorities have taken an initiative this year through changing the process of sending the question papers to the centres. They claimed that this step would definitely maintain the secrecy of question papers at the centres. Question papers would be sent to District Inspector of Schools (DIOS) office ten days prior to the examination . DIOS office, thereafter ensure the distribution of papers to centre superintendents one week before the commencement of the exams. Every centre superintendent will have to be present in person to get the question papers, said the Board officials. Board has also asked the centre superintendents to examine the seals of the question paper packets at time of their receiving. The centre superintendents have also been suggested not to keep the question paper packets in wooden almirah because of apprehension of theft. However, the centre superintendents would be solely responsible for the safety of question packets at the examination centre.

The Board had received many complaints of leak of question papers in past years through breaking of wooden almirah at the centre concerned, the officials said.
