Bodies of a boy and a girl, whose parents were opposed to their relationship, were on Saturday found hanging from a tree in Sharava village in the district, police said.

According to Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Akhilesh Meena, prime-facie it appears to be a case of suicide.

The boy, Mukesh (22), staying in Sharava village and the girl, Preeti (18), belonging to Baldev village, were in a relationship and wanted to get married, which was disapproved by their families, Meena said.

Their bodies have been sent for post-mortem, the SSP said, adding that police is also probing the possibility of honour killing.
