Under attack from various political parties for the serial killings of children in Nodia, Uttar Pradesh Director General of Police, Bua Singh has sought a detailed report from the SSP, Noida, RKS Rathore into the incident, official sources said in Lucknow.
"Yes, the DGP has sought a detailed report into the incident from SSP Noida," IG, Law and Order Praveen Singh said but could not elaborate on the details.
The state government has already constituted a two-member committee headed by Home Secretary Arun Kumar Singh. The committee has been asked to submit a detailed report within three days, they said.
Skeletal remains and body parts of 17 children were recovered in Noida of which 10 had so far been recognise through photo identification or on the basis of clothes and other belongings, they added.
