UP Gymnastics Championship to be organised from tomorrow

THE 25TH Uttar Pradesh Gymnastics Championship will be organised by National Sports Academy Khelgaon here on March 25 and 26. Optional competition for boys will be held in the under 6, 8, 10,12, 14, 17 years age group and men's group. Optional competition for girls will be held in the under 6, 8, 10, 12, 15 years age group and women's group.

THE 25TH Uttar Pradesh Gymnastics Championship will be organised by National Sports Academy Khelgaon here on March 25 and 26.

Optional competition for boys will be held in the under 6, 8, 10,12, 14, 17 years age group and men's group. Optional competition for girls will be held in the under 6, 8, 10, 12, 15 years age group and women's group.

For the boys' and men's sections the competition will be held on the Parellel Bars, Horizontal Bar, Pommel Horse, Vaulting Table, Roman Rings and Floor Exercises. The competition for the girls and women's section will be held on the Balancing Beam, Floor Exercises, Vaulting Table and Uneven Bars. This state championship will have individual team and apparatus championship in all the age groups.

As many as nine districts including Agra, Allahabad, Bareilly, Varanasi, Gorakhpur, Lucknow, Jhansi, Azamgarh and Muzaffarnagar are going to participate in this championship, informs Dr Shikha Chatterji, Information Officer, UP Gymnastics Association, in a press release on Thursday.
