"As per the investigations carried out by the Lucknow police, senior IAS officer heading housing department Harminder Raj Singh's case is of clear-cut suicide," Additional Director General Law and Order, A K Jain told reporters today in reply to a question.

"During the investigations nothing fishy was found on the spot and no one including family members raised any suspicion," Jain said.

Asked about an inquiry into the call details of the officer's mobile and landline phone, Jain said it was not done, as there was no need for it.

On a question about recovery of a laptop and some official files, Jain said the laptop was there at his bungalow and there was no information regarding any missing files.

On being asked about the bullet, which took Singh's life, Jain said that the police have still not recovered it despite several attempts.
