UPSRTC to ply two AC buses for Delhi from today

UTTAR PRADESH State Road Transport Corporation (UPSRTC) has given a unique gift to the citizens of this industrial metropolis. It has proposed to introduce two air-conditioned buses between Kanpur and New Delhi. The two buses have already arrived in the city and are ready to ply.

UTTAR PRADESH State Road Transport Corporation (UPSRTC) has given a unique gift to the citizens of this industrial metropolis. It has proposed to introduce two air-conditioned buses between Kanpur and New Delhi. The two buses have already arrived in the city and are ready to ply.

According to UPSRTC sources the new AC buses would be introduced from tomorrow.

The buses would start from Jhakarkati bus station at 8 pm everyday and would cover the distance between the two cities within eleven hours.

The buses would reach Delhi at about 7 am the next day. From Delhi, the bus for Kanpur would start at around 8 pm and reach here next day at 7 am.

The fare for Delhi would be Rs 306 per passenger.

Sources said that to facilitate a large number of passengers on Eid, about 40 extra buses on Delhi route and 30 buses for Poorvanchal were introduced.

The sources further said that the government was keen to improve bus services throughout the state by providing more facilities to the passengers.

Meanwhile, hailing the UPSRTC’s decision, president of the Train and Road Passenger Association SK Awasthi said this would help the passengers who needed comfortable journey in night hours for health reasons.

He said this was a long felt need of a large number of bus passengers that could be fulfilled now.
