Iraqi fighters ambushed a US military convoy just northwest of Baghdad on Sunday, killing one soldier and wounding another, military sources said.

Iraqi fighters ambushed a US military convoy just northwest of Baghdad on Sunday, killing one soldier and wounding another, military sources said.
The sources said the Iraqi fighters attacked the convoy with rocket propelled grenades and mortar bombs, but gave few details. The convoy had moved up from south of the Iraqi capital earlier on Sunday.
