The police are now looking for the arrested woman's four Indian associates who subjected the victims to mental and physical torture. The victims alleged that they were beaten up with sticks and punched in their faces and were being confined at different places.
The arrested woman, Dilfuza, was staying at a flat in Vasant Kunj with her live-in partner, an Afghan national. According to police, Dilfuza allegedly runs an organised prostitution racket in Delhi. She was last arrested by the crime branch on similar charges in 2011 from Rohini.
The sisters, one of whom is two months pregnant, arrived in India in January this year on tourist visa. They accused Dilfuza of confining them at her flat and at different hotels and guest houses in Mahipalpur area where they were allegedly raped by several persons in the past five months.
"She had allegedly taken their passports, which will expire this week, and return air tickets. We have recovered the items from Dilfuza's flat," said a senior investigating officer.
The victims, the officer said, alleged that they were raped by four-to-five different men every day. "Dilfuza's interrogation revealed that she used to charge R10,000 for each victim from one customer," the officer added.
The sisters had managed to flee on Sunday night and reached INA market in a taxi. They were roaming in the area when two men spotted them and found injury marks on their body.
"They admitted them in Safdarjung Hospital and mentioned an address of Lajpat Nagar in the hospital's register. The Kotla Mubarakpur police informed the Lajpat Nagar police about the matter after which a case was registered," the senior officer said.
The sisters had met Dilfuza at a hotel in Paharganj.
