Vajpayee may canvass for BJP in Himachal

Former PM is likely to canvass for BJP in Himachal Pradesh in next month's assembly elections.

Former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee is likely to canvass for the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in Himachal Pradesh in next month's assembly elections, party sources said.

Vajpayee was earlier not scheduled to visit the state due to reported ill health but the sources said he had recovered.

The state is scheduled to go to polls in two stages. While polling will be held for three tribal seats on Nov 14, voting for the remaining 65 assembly seats will take place Dec 19. The results will be declared Dec 28.
