centenary celebrations, wherein the national song would be sung in all schools, colleges and educational institutions on September 7.

An official release issued in Lucknow said that a letter shot off by HRD Minister Arjun Singh has been received by Chief Minister Mulayam Singh Yadav seeking his help in the successful conclusion of the function.

Necessary directives as per the wishes of Singh for ensuring recital of the first two stages of Vande Matram at the scheduled time at 11.00 am on September 7 have been issued to officials concerned, the release said.
