Gandhi, a first-time Member of Parliament from Pilibhit in Uttar Pradesh, spent nearly half-an-hour in the Peeth, known for performing 'Tantrik' rituals, temple's chief priest Vishnukant Mudia said.

Mudia said the BJP leader also performed a simple 'puja' in the temple. Varun later said he came to the Pitambara Peeth as he has a lot of faith in it.

Madhya Pradesh former Minister and MLA Narottam Mishra and BJP district president Gurudev Sharan Gupta accompanied the young leader.
