Vijay Club lift Pathania trophy
BRILLIANT ALL-ROUND display by Rjat Patidar helped Vijay Club beat Star Club to lift the coveted Paramdeep Pathania memorial cricket trophy for under-13 organised by Khanuja Cricket Club and sponsored by Cambridge International School.
BRILLIANT ALL-ROUND display by Rjat Patidar helped Vijay Club beat Star Club to lift the coveted Paramdeep Pathania memorial cricket trophy for under-13 organised by Khanuja Cricket Club and sponsored by Cambridge International School.
Batting first, Star Club scored 104/9 in allotted 25 overs. Yash Bakliwal batted well to score 50 with seven boundaries. Rajat Patidar bowled brilliantly to capture three wickets while Satyajit Verma took two wickets.
In reply Vijay Club had no difficulty to surpass the required runs after loosing four wickets to win the match and the coveted trophy.
After bowling precisely, Rajat showed his class in his batting by scoring classic 71 to help his team win the match easily. Former Ranji captain Keerti Patel was the chief guest and distributed the prizes to the winners and runners-up.
Cambridge International School director Ravindra Pillai was the special guest on the occasion along with corporator Chandu Shinde.
Rajat Patidar won the best batsman award, Nishant Atre won the best all rounder award. Khanuja Cricket Club secretary Kanwaljeet Khanuja welcomed the guests while Ramesh Kushwah proposed vote of thanks and Rajesh Walecha conducted the programme.
Weekly pair bridge
DR ANIL Vijaywargiya /Jitesh Agrawal topped in the weekly pair bridge competition organised by Indore Contract Bridge Association played at Yeshwant Club.
Both took 49 points followed by Dr Sudhir Jain and KP Poddar with 48 points respectably.
