Virtual Reality: Part II

Virtual Reality would open the doors to a highly perceptive hyper reality, if only humans had the grace and good intent to use it for the right soul-purpose!

The hallucinatory drug LSD releases a person from his acquired visual habits and reactions, and gives the potential of instant and total oneness with the hallucination. The old, rational, linear world that we live in suddenly transforms itself into an inner trip that has no connection with human realism.

So we move on to the inevitable question, is Virtual Reality some sort of Electronic LSD? In fact, the ancient practise of the Shaivites, (followers of Lord Shiva) and the Dionysions, the disciples of Dionyysius, God of wonder, magic and abandon and enjoyment, seem to share a cultural rite that rakes them into the surreality, on imbibing the right kind of drugs.

Since this was a socially sanctioned method of those times, let us presume that Virtual Reality will also receive the same kind of sanction, when it is clearly understood that there are no side effects on the human body, when indulging in this program.

The access to Virtual Reality would be the highest progression of moving into a space and time in a digitized hyper reality, zooming in on the attractive and joyful, and diminishing all that needs to be changed, according to the mood of the human.

The use of Virtual Reality techniques catapults the viewer to make a lean break with the sad perplexities and complexities of daily living. It is the first, wholesome, integrating, non-pathological method of attaining ecstasy, capable of liberating us from our long suppressed desires to be in a state of Oneness with all Divinity.

So the answer to whether Virtual reality is the New LSD of the modern age, I would dare to answer, yes, VR would just about be the answer to open the doors to a highly perceptive hyper reality, if only humans had the grace and good intent to use it for the right soul-purpose! We need inspired and talented humans who would then create a new world order through VR, if they themselves become Divinely charged with creating Heaven on earth.

Digressing now into pure science, I would go further to predict that tele-robotic methods of communication, where the robot can not only perform pre-programmed functions, but has an inner perception that can make it alter its functioning according to the observed realities and their needs, are bound to become a part of our lives in the twenty first century.

The Virtual Reality experience breaks the frame of everyday reality, using sacred symbols as its guiding program, representing factually that humans, someday, very soon, will use this interface to get out of their minds, out of their bodies, into cyberspace, which in turn will be the divine parallel reality that they have always longed for!
