Visva-Bharati authorities on Wednesday filed an insurance claim of over Rs 2.39 crore for last week's theft of Gurudev Rabindranath Tagore's Nobel Prize medal and memorabilia, university Vice-chancellor Sujit Basu said.

"We have filed an insurance claim of 2,39,70,000. The total insurance coverage for the museum is Rs 3,59,13,402," Basu told newsmen after an emergency meeting of the Visva- Bharati Karma Sabha, convened to take stock of the situation following the heist.
