WorldWide-Frangrance of Life, a Lucknow itra company, has come out with Zodiac perfumes—one for each of the twelve sun signs.
“Every essential oil like Eucalyptus, Rose, Sandal, Orange, Ylang Ylang, Bergamont etc is affected by different planets. Our itras are based on these astrological and planetary concepts. The essential oils and fragrances of these itras are known to influence a particular planet. For instance when a person of Aries sign inhales the perfume made of essential oils related to his sign, then the perfume enhances the positive influences of planets and decreases the negative influences of planets related to the sign,” says Rehan Ahmed of WorldWide.
Rehan claims that the perfumes that were introduced just two months ago, are already in good demand in Mumbai and other cities. This is the second range of functional perfumes by the company. The company started a few years ago with a range of perfumes for helping in sleep and for use as stress busters, controlling blood-pressure, mental concentration, anti-depressant etc.
“We took help from a Council for Scientific & Industrial Research, Lucknow, for technical knowhow to make these functional perfumes. Astrologers, aromatherapists too had worked to develop these astro-perfumes,” said Rehan.
These functional perfumes are not very expensive. A nine millilitre bottle of these itra costs Rs 125 each, and the company is selling about 5,000 bottles per month in the metro cities. Their factory is located in Aishbagh.
