Class XII students of APS have been agitating for quite some time as the school management did not distributed the admit card. They alleged that school administration kept them in dark and only kept on assuring them that their admit card will be distributed on time. Finally, one of the examinees moved a petition on the court but that too did not help their cause.

When contacted SP Mishra of APS said the whole problem originated because of some communication gap. “We’ve both Class X and XII affiliated to CBSE Board.

While the Board officials despatched the admit cards for the Class X examinees, it withheld the admit cards for Class XII students. But, late on Wednesday evening we’ve received the admit cards of Class XII examinees and they will now be able to appear the remaining examinations,” he said.

Principal of APS Academy Hema Kalakoti claimed that students will not lose a year. She categorically said: “The Board officials have given in writing to take special examination for today’s paper. It will be conducted afresh for which the date will be announced later this month. The students and their parents need not get panicky.”

On the other hand, parents and students of APS alleged that the school management have kept them in the dark. They also raised a question over the recognition of the school and alleged that maybe the school had not renewed its affiliation to the Board and this had resulted in this complications.

On Wednesday morning, examinees first gathered at APS Academy to collect their admit card. Sensing trouble the school management asked them to go to Red Rose School at Rajajipuram, the examination centre. The students were even told that their admit card will be distributed at the spot. But to their great disappointment they found that no examination was to be held there.

Agitated examinees then returned to APS where they found the school gate locked. This irked the examinees and their guardians who staged demonstration outside the school and demanded explanation from the school management.

They felt cheated and demanded the school management to ensure that they do not lose a year for other’s folly.

Meanwhile, the CBSE and the ICSE examinations started on Wednesday. Barring this incident by and large the examinations went off smoothly.
