The victorious squad in the August 21-28 triangular series in Holland for the Videocon Cup would receive US dollars 25,000.

The player of the series, featuring India, Pakistan and Australia, would receive USD 3,000 while there would be prizes for the man of the match too, it was announced at a press conference on Tuesday by the secretary of the Board of Control for Cricket in India, S K Nair.
Asked about the total prize fund for the tri-nation event, which would act as the tune-up for the ICC Champions Trophy in England in September, Nair said it was still being worked out along with the prize for the `man of the match'.
All the three participating nations' cricket boards would share the profits from the tournament equally after expenses incurred by the Dutch cricket board, which is hosting the event, like building the requisite infrastructure etc. Are deducted from the gross receipt, he added.
Nair took the opportunity to welcome Videocon's re-entry into cricket sponsorship after more than a decade-long gap during which the company concentrated on sponsoring events connected with Bollywood.
Nair recalled that it was in 1989 that the firm had last been involved with major cricket sponsorship when it had been associated with the Asia Cup.
"Since the Indian team had a lay-off from mid-April (before taking part in the Asia Cup in Sri Lanka), it was critical for them to acclimatise themselves to the European conditions", Nair said about the importance of the Sourav Ganguly-led squad's forthcoming trip to Amsterdam.
