With prayes on lips and anxiety on faces, people wait for YSR

A sense of disbelief and anxiety was written large on the face of everyone at the Andhra Pradesh Secretariat and state Congress office in Hyderabad as the whereabouts of Chief Minister Y S Rajasekhara Reddy remained unknown.

A sense of disbelief and anxiety was written large on the face of everyone at the Andhra Pradesh Secretariat and state Congress office in Hyderabad as the whereabouts of Chief Minister Y S Rajasekhara Reddy remained unknown.

Praja Rajyam chief Chiranjeevi, state BJP President B Dattatreya, Lok Satta President and MLA Jayaprakash Narayan, besides a number of Congress leaders visited the Secretariat to have information about Reddy.

Telugu Desam chief N Chandrababu Naidu and TRS President K Chandrasekhar Rao called up top officials to know the latest about rescue operation to locate the chief minister, whose helicopter went missing after taking off from here.

Prayers were conducted at temples across the state by Congress leaders for safe return of their popular CM.

A group of employees and others performed prayers in the Secretariat for the well-being of Reddy and Congress workers raised slogans like "long live YSR". A couple of women Congress leaders burst into tears as they spoke about the chief minister.

At Gandhi Bhavan, the state Congress headquarters, a number of party leaders and workers prayed for the well-being of the chief minister. At the Chief Minister's Camp Office too, where he lives, Congress leaders and well-wishers gathered and prayed for Reddy's well-being.
