The incident took place at Dr Kondoi’s Ashirwad Hospital at Ambernath (West) which is run by a couple, Dr Manoj and Dr Sangeeta Kondoi. “Manisha Mote, a resident of the Ambernath (West), delivered a boy on Saturday morning. In the evening, she complained of pain. Around midnight she died,” said Inspector Dilip Godbole.

The relatives then manhandled the doctor and staffers. They marched to the police station and demanded that a murder case be registered against the doctor couple. The police took their statements. A case of rioting and trespassing has been registered against 30 people.
