Asha poisoned three of her children - Suku (2), Mamta (4) and Khushbu (7) - before consuming same chemical at Simalwara on Thursday night, they said.

Police said before her death, Asha gave a statement saying she was tired of her husband's regular remarks on her character which forced her to take the extreme step.

Asha's family registered a case of dowry and provoking suicide against her husband Dilip Baranda, they said.
