‘Our nikaah-nama would be prepared by November,” she said while talking to journalists in the City on Saturday. Ambar said intellectuals and religious scholars helped AIMWPLB in preparing the nikaah-nama.
She also said that ‘talaaq’ through Internet, telephone or SMS is not in sync with the teachings of Quran. “We strongly oppose such practices of divorce and our aim is to help Muslim women secure their rights under the light of Quran,” said Ambar, who is forming state units of the board in various states.
She announced the names of office-bearers of the Board in the State. Dr Nusrat Bano Roohi is the president of the state unit while Dr Ghazala Aftab and Mohib Ahmad have been appointed as general secretary and secretary respectively.
Ambar said that singing Vande Matram is not at all un-Islamic and the Board is in favour of singing it. The AIMWPLB is organising a seminar in Lucknow on September 10 focusing on sacrifice of Muslims in freedom movement. The board members said securing education is also a duty of Muslim women as per Islamic teachings and women should educate themselves in order to form a progressive society.
