Yechury to attend signing accord in Nepal

CPI (M) politburo member, Sitaram Yechury, is expected to attend the signing of the accord in Nepal, reports Sutirtho Patranobis.

CPI (M) politburo member, Sitaram Yechury, is expected to attend the signing of the accord between Nepal’s seven-party alliance interim government and the Maoists on November 16, BBC World Service reported on Tuesday.

Yechury said that this is a historic turn for Nepal. "The willingness of Maoists to participate in the democratic process for building up a modern society in that country would have a positive impact on entire South Asia," Yechury said.
