During his visit starting Monday, the Yemeni President will meet with his Pakistani counterpart Gen Pervez Musharraf and other officials, said a ministry statement issued in the capital, Islamabad.
It will be Saleh's second visit to this Islamic nation since 1987.
Pakistan enjoys "warm and friendly relations with Yemen" and Saleh's visit "will provide an opportunity to carry forward the discussions" held during Musharraf's visit to Yemen in December 2005, the statement said.
It said the visit will also help strengthen political and economic relations between the two nations.
"The two leaders will exchange wide-ranging views on the evolving regional and international situation," it said, adding some cooperation agreements are also expected to be signed during the visit.
