Youth shot dead in Dhumanganj
A 32-year-old man identified as Mohd. Yaqub Zafri was shot dead by some miscreants near a mosque in Gausnagar under Dhumanganj police station late Sunday night. The Dhumanganj police rushed to the place of murder after getting the information.
A 32-year-old man identified as Mohd. Yaqub Zafri was shot dead by some miscreants near a mosque in Gausnagar under Dhumanganj police station late Sunday night. The Dhumanganj police rushed to the place of murder after getting the information. The deceased used to practice Unani system of medicine though he was reportedly not qualified as a doctor. He was reportedly on his way back home on a bicycle when some persons lying in wait near the mosque fired at him.
He fell down after being shot in the head and the stomach. Though the murder is reported to have been committed around 11pm but police got wind of this crime quite late as the area is deserted with not much habitation.
The Dhumanganj police reached the place after midnight.
They were told by the deceased's family members that he had no enmity with any person. This has made the police task more difficult. However, we are trying to go into the depth of the murder and the culprits will soon be nabbed, said the police.
