Online betting racket busted in MP, six arrested

Lasudia police on Friday busted a racket by arresting six people allegedly involved in online betting worth Rs 1.8 crore. According to Lasudia town inspector Pradeep Ranavat, the racket was operating from a rented flat in Mahalaxmi Nagar (sector MR-10).

According to Lasudia town inspector Pradeep Ranavat, the racket was operating from a rented flat in Mahalaxmi Nagar (sector MR-10). The betting, he said, was going on for the tri-series cricket match that was being played between England and Australia in Sydney.

"We have recovered three laptops, two remote controls, two modems, two voice recorders, two key boards and 39 mobile phones, and more investigation is going on," said Ranavat.

The officer said, "More arrests could follow as we are investigating it."

The arrested accused in the case were identified as Rahul Singh, Rajesh Garg, Denim Kushwaha, Kailash Solanki, Pawan Mukati and Mangilal.

Sources said that the kingpin of the racket is yet to be arrested and police have launched a hunt for him.
