Apart from remarkable drills, skills of horsemanship and ceremonial regalia, the regiment mounted on 221 resplendently groomed horses displayed discipline and morale.

The regiment paraded in walk, trot and gallop, in formations of eight, four and twelve.

South Western Army Commander Lt Gen Gyan Bhushan and GOC 61 Sub Area Maj Gen KJS Thind preceded the army chief in taking the salute of the parade at the cavalry ground.

This was the first visit of Gen Singh to the regiment since taking over, according to Defence Spokesperson SD Goswami.
