The incident took place Friday night when the victim Vinay Meena was drinking liquor at his friend’s house in Bhadana area of the district.

As per a complaint filed by victim’s friend Rakesh alias Kaggal, they were having liquor when a group of six men stormed into his residence, and threw chilli powder into Vinay’s eyes.

“They then attacked Vinay using iron rods and sharp-edged weapons before fleeing from the spot,” Circle inspector, Railway Colony police station, Shivraj Gurjar, said citing the complaint.

Vinay was taken to the Government Maharao Bhim Singh Hospital where doctors declared him brought dead, the CO added.

The reason behind the murder was not clear yet and the number of assailants too is not confirmed, police said. As per the police, Rakesh claimed he wasn’t attacked by the assailants and thus didn’t sustain any injury.
